Anyway, when I was 8 months pregnant with bubs 2, we were without a toilet for 24 hours, while they carried out work under the floor of the bathroom. It wasn't pretty, with hubby, 2 year old (who had *just* been potty trained and of course got derailed by having to go in his nappy again!) and me with a pregnant bladder. I NEVER take the toilet for granted anymore. Pleased you're all sorted now :o) xoAll For Lovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13151973819133926868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331972089469544815.post-9110317040849108392011-09-23T15:35:41.710+10:002011-09-23T15:35:41.710+10:00I've been there done that too.
Once the kids ...I've been there done that too.

Once the kids flushed a whole box of tissues and half a roll of tp and blocked it up.

We couldnt get a plumber for 2 days.

And then tree roots started growing in the pipes. And kept blocking it all the time.Michhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05981117195910291360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331972089469544815.post-70933423770084002562011-09-23T15:31:43.802+10:002011-09-23T15:31:43.802+10:00Oh no! I don't mean to laugh but what a predicament!

I remember in Greece most of their toilets consisted of a hole and a hose to flush your mess down - Gross!
Worse still their sewerage didn't support paper waste so into the bucket beside you it went. In the middle of summer - double eeew!!

Also reminds me of the time we had a gas crisis and were boiling kettles of water to fill the bath just to have a wash. I enjoy 2 showers a day so this did not sit well with me…
I can't live without a flushing toilet and a shower, surely that doesn't make me a princess does it?Katerinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00423487717305629604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331972089469544815.post-62796878100664316302011-09-23T15:21:55.186+10:002011-09-23T15:21:55.186+10:00This is too terrifying! We are just too far removed from our ancestors who all had chamberpots or just ducked behind a tree. And it might be a bit difficult, living in the suburban sprawl to find a tree to duck behind anyway. LOL. Glad to hear it is working again now.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13634491861054702416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331972089469544815.post-72686655911669235262011-09-23T09:22:59.483+10:002011-09-23T09:22:59.483+10:00Once again - don't know what you've got ti...Once again - don't know what you've got til it's gone.
Man, that is rough.
There's something not quite right about digging a hole - on your own property!!
Glad yours is back in action now.
:-)Mum on the Runhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16543791863884733714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331972089469544815.post-36942419646905320892011-09-23T09:09:15.828+10:002011-09-23T09:09:15.828+10:00lol@marks comment up there.Oh Thea ugh!
