Polly is back in High School

Danimezza has Polly showing her age back at High School this week.

The year was 1985, Polly was in Year 12.
Her favourite outfit was the baggiest pair of pleated jeans I have ever seen,
lace up, black, flat, pointy toe shoes,
a plain white shirt with rolled up sleeves,
and a cute tartan jacket from Cherry Lane (does anyone remember Cherry Lane???) which she adored.
She accessorized with large hoop earrings, a t-bar necklace and a fancy new digital watch.
She didn't leave the house without a spray of Merely Musk Impulse.
And she took her portable tape deck wherever she could which was always, always, always playing Nik Kershaw or Howard Jones.

OK...so Polly really is ME this week!

This fun challenge is the brain child of Danimezza...

That jacket looks like something you'd see on a Gossip Girl character. Seriously!

  8. Ha ha very 80's and retro. I think the outfit is very classic 80's. I agree with Amy about wearing it only to a fancy dress party!

  9. Ha! I had tartan pleated pants with those white lace up flat shoes. I remember Cherry Lane. Lots of fluoro. Do you remember Splendiferous? Will have to complete the Poly challenge this week. My niece calls the 80's the "decade of shame" ;-)

  10. Awesome set, I love it! It's crazy how much Impulse has figured across high school memories over the past 2-3 decades!
