It's been awhile since my last blog award so I was thrilled when my sister, Michelle Dennis Evans, sent this one my way.

The rules of acceptance of this award are:

So I wasn't on the Kidspot's 50 Top Bloggers list.
(I wasn't expecting to be so I'm OK with that.)
I got a "Mad F***ing Mum Bloggers Who Cannot Cook for Shit and LOVE VODKA' award...so I am a winner after all...wooohoooooo!!

It might be a little out of my blog style to display because as you all know, I do not swear here.
It's the teacher/mother in me.
I can't help it. I just cannot swear in polite company...who snorted?
And all of my readers are oh so polite, right? Right??

If I could just switch-a-roo the word for vodka for wine, this award could have been made for me!
But I like vodka...I'll take it!!

PS And it's perfect timing. My husband is away for part of the week so I can cook for myself whatever the hell I want, and I am absolutely certain I will not throw it in the bin...well, almost certain!

PPS And, this could be the ultimate contradiction, but I have another blog called My Recipe Blog-Book for those rare occasions when I happen to get it right!

I like this award because versatile is what would like my blog to be.  I try to post a little bit of lots of different things so you never know what you're gonna get (it's the Forrest Gump in me).

I've shared so much already I feel everyone must know everything about me by now.
So here are 7 things I remember doing growing up on a farm.
 

• We used to chase chickens and try to catch them by their tail feathers (which is scary because squawky, flappy chickens are pretty imposing!).
• We did try to ride calves but that was always unsuccessful.
• We would step in fresh cow dodo, on purpose! (To shock our city cousins, it's very warm you know.)
• We used to get tiny calves to suck our fingers to teach them to drink from a bucket.  Their tongues are very rough and your hand comes out very slimy!!
• We loved building cubby houses in the hay shed, and we'd always come home with scratches all over us from the spiky hay.
• On hot days we'd put on our togs and run under the walking irrigator's spray.  It came out with such force that it stung when it hit our backs.
• I was the only one with my Dad when he was bitten by a snake. It was probably a green tree snake (non-venomous).  We didn't see it because he put his hand around a corner to turn off a tap.  But I had to run home to tell Mum to call the doctor.  That probably added to my ophidiophobia.

The Honest Scrap Award...

I have a new award! Another award for me!!  I'm soooo good!

(OK, that's enough bragging. I had to do it. You'll see why in a minute.)

1. When I was (a lot) younger I loved Kylie Minogue (still do) and secretly wanted to be her...especially when she married Jason Donovan, I mean Scott Robinson.
2. My pipe dream is to be a bridal designer.
3. I am currently detoxing, have lost 2kgs in 1 week, 2 more and I get my laptop!
4. My addictive personality finds is hard not to succumb to wine, Twitter & blogging.
5. As a child I was horrid to my little sister, now as payback my 5yo boy treats his 2yo sister exactly the same.
6. I have just put my name down for relief teaching one day a week and I'm extremely nervous about going back into the classroom after 7 years.
7. I am orderly but not organized.
8. I love buying new perfumes.
9. I love rainy days if I don't have to go out in it.
10. I'm dying for the new series of The Bachelor tonight...I'm a reality TV tragic!!

This is a Blogie Award.  I've done a little research and backtracked givers of this award to try to figure out a little more about it.  And just like a good old Chinese Whisper it has changed a little, and a little and a little more to become the cute little man that you see.  He's like a Logie for bloggers and I'm following Kelly's lead in making up my own category...most popular best newcomer best all round female Most Enthusiastic!  I blog a lot, I blog about whatever is on my mind (as my profile will tell you).  Apparently I have a lot on my mind and no one much to talk to so it all ends up here.
