I had no inspiration this week so I returned to my favourites on You Tube and found this one.
I cannot tell you how much I loved this song when I was in high school.
It was 1984 and it reminds me of summer...friends...and crushes!!
One was Hubba's cousin...shhhhhh...don't tell him!
I still love this song.
Love love love it....
So if I have an oldie, I have to go with a newbie, right?
I know this one has played on some Sunday Sessions already.
But it's so darn catchy!

It's No.3 on this week's Aria singles chart.
I love Electric Dreams remember bopping away to that every time it was played when I was a young girl/teenager.

Emily has been singing the Mick Jagger song for weeks now... I asked her if she knew who Mick Jagger was (we're big Rolling Stones fans here) and she said "yeah he's that guy from... oh wait.. no... that's McGyver!"

ReplyDeleteI've seen the movie for the first one, and danced to the song when retro was cool, and Wendy's right he really does have beautiful eyes.
ReplyDeleteThe second song never got me straight away, but I actually started to really like it from the ad for David Attenborough's antarctic nature programme. Now I love this song. I think I'm going to download this one to add to our dance around the living room music CD.
Electric Dreams - that was a blast from the past, very, very 80's! Maroon 5 is one of my absolute favourite bands and that song gets me going every time - great selection Thea!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE Moves Like Jagger! When it first came out I had it stuck in my head for a good solid week. And I still liked it!
