Not Naturally

Naturally I am a brunette. I'm very happy with that, I've never wanted to be blonde.
Naturally I have blue eyes. I'm very happy with that, I've never wanted brown eyes, or green.
Naturally I am left handed. I'm very happy with that, I've never wanted to be right handed.
Naturally I am short. I'm very happy with that, I've never wanted to be tall.
Naturally I am clever. I'm very happy with that, I've never wanted to be stupid.

Naturally I am not thin.

I have been thin, but I have had to work so hard to be that way.
I am not thin anymore, in fact I am overweight.
I always look at naturally thin people and feel a pang of jealousy.

Naturally I am chunky. I'm am not happy with that, I have always wanted to be thin.

I wish I was stronger.

  2. I agree with the above comment! It's so hard, this body stuff.
And, I just want to say; I am a lefty too and have always loved it, always been so proud but I've noticed that since having my babies people ask if they are left or right handed and when I've replied right the answer is always something like "Oh, isn't that good!" What's with that?

      Yeah, what is with that?
Hubba & I are both left handed so we were hoping at least one of our kids would be...nope, neither are, both right handed! What's with that?? lol

    or
Embrace life and be thankful for what you have.

    1. Thanks little sis! I know I have a LOT to be thankful for. But I cannot look at myself and be happy. I know that's bad, maybe I should cut out mirrors, reflections & photos!! ;)

  4. From another short, clever lefty - cut yourself some slack!
I figure if I were naturally thin, it would make it far too easy to be unhealthy.
Sometimes I like the fact that nature (or is it vanity??!) is keeping me accountable and active.
Sometimes I just wanna eat crap and not pay the price on the hips and scales tho!!
    :-)

  5. A great post Thea. I am not naturally thin either, I work very hard to keep a healthy weight. It's not always fun doing it though. I think you're a naturally beautiful person and that's the main thing :o) xo

  6. Oh Thea, body image is so hard. Especially in our own heads.
I think beauty shines from inside and that comes through in your photos.
