  3. We are all very critical of ourselves in photos. To me you look beautiful but I don't look at you every day like you do. I am the same. Most people say I don't look fat but when I see myself in a photo I know I'm carrying too much weight. If I was fit and felt healthy I would have a different attitude, but I'm not fit, I'm not healthy and I'm carrying too much fat. I don't like how I look and only I can fix that. I am not going for the body I used to wish I had, but I need to lose the padding around my middle so I am healthier and feel happier. So go with what you feel. If you feel healthy and fit enough, then don't change a thing. But if you don't feel healthy & fit enough then you can join me as we try and increase our life span. Hope I didn't rave on too much and hope that makes sense. But I feel exactly like you right now. xxx

  4. I think you're being very hard on yourself. I see a person looking happy to be on holidays. You should be enjoying yourself! As you say though, it's about how you feel on the inside. I've been prattling on about it for a month now, but seriously, starting the Couch To 5k running program is the best I'ver ever done in my life. There is so much support out there to motivate you and keep you reaching for your goals, whatever they may be. And you know what? The scales tell me I've put on 1.5kg in the month I've been running. But I don't care, because I feel so good on the inside. Try to figure out what is going to make you feel better about yourself, and just go for it!

  5. Oh my goodness, Thea, I just don't know what you are seeing. You are BEAUTIFUL! And to think that you believe you are looking your worst...well SHAZAM! You must look absolutely stunning at your best! (and you do ;) )

Some of us (myself included) simply don't like seeing ourselves immortalised in photos. But, believe me, you have absolutely nothing to dislike. You are a gorgeous woman (inside and out) and we all love you. Don't change a thing.

  6. What's this bullshit about being fat? Stop being so critical of yourself. You are gorgeous on the inside and out. Stop this rubbish instantly! How wonderful that you look so very happy. Focus on that. Sorry. Bit bossy today! x

  7. I could tell you how lovely you look, and you do. But I'll say this as well... we are harsh on ourselves, and no amount of people saying we look great can change the way we see ourselves. I love what Annie has said, 'Try to figure out what is going to make you feel better about yourself, and just go for it!' That doesn't mean it will always be easy, but it means you have the mid set to keep going on the days you don't want to.

Also, (now I may be sounding like a telemarketer) but I can not tell you how much Trinny & Susanna as well as Gok have helped me find my body shape and dress to flatter my size at all times. Lovely Diminishing Lucy blogged about Gok this week.

Because sometimes to feel good on the inside we ned to look good on the outside.

blah blah, enough from me.... but yeah, sometimes I wish cameras were never invented. Bloody photos, at least you can walk away from a mirror!

All I see is a fun and sweet looking chick.

But you need to feel good. Whatever that takes Thea.......xx

  10. You look gorgeous. I think we are all our own worst critics. You look happy, healthy and confident. I think it's always good to see how others see us. I've felt so fat and ugly for a long time ... and yet despite that, people have complimented me on my looks, chatted me up, admired my dress sense ... I still feel fat and ugly but perhaps there is that little bit of hope that I'm not as bad as I thought.
The weight gain is a big thing to me because I was always so fit ... so I've joined a gym now, and I'm hoping to regain some of my fitness. I don't think I'll ever get back to pre-pregnancy weight, but if I can even lose 10 kg or so, and get stronger or fitter I will be happy.
In your case, don't worry honey, you look lovely. You are not fat, you are beautiful! so

  11. Fat?! Excuuuuuse me, I think not! I agree with everyone else, and think you look gorgeous.

But as a couple of the ladies have said, it's not about how you look, but how you FEEL.

Do whatever you need to do to feel good on the inside! I know that even if I've put on a kilo or two, going for a run or eating a healthy meal can completely change my mindset and I feel good again.

Don't let yourself feel sad or angry because of this. Just do something that you know will make you feel happy and healthy :) xxx

  12. You look great to me, but I know, it's not about me. It's about how you see yourself and how you feel. So change something, (look at that little list on your other post)change just one thing to make a difference (like some exercise, but don't change eating yet) and you'll feel better for making small changes over time, then it won't feel like such a lifestyle shift.
