I wore loads of these in the 90s, although we just called them long skirts back then, not maxi skirts.
And Dani has asked for photos of ourselves wearing one this week, so I'll see if I can dig one up and be brave enough to post it.
It seems I don't have many photos taken of myself in the 90s. This was the only one I could find. Please excuse the quality, it is a photo of a photo because my scanner is not connected.
I loved this outfit and wore it to a lot of weddings. I'm the one on the left.
It looks black but it is a deep aubergine.
Anyhow, enough about me, here is the gorgeous Polly in her maxi skirt.
If you look closely you might notice her ring is engraved with a 'P'....for Polly, of course!
ohh I'd wear that to a wedding, so nice!
ReplyDeleteLove your photo <3
It has a hint of 1920's glamour - I can picture a Hollywood Starlet of the time wearing this :)
ReplyDeleteI had a long skirt like that too. And lots of floral ones as well....
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking i might put that bangle on my wishlist...gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI had a long skirt just like yours, in aubergine too! I LOVE my Country Road maxi skirt now, it is so flexible and comfortable and looks good too.
ReplyDeleteOoh I love this! That bag and those shoes. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAwww - you look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnd your pick is, as always, showing impeccable taste, my lady. xxx
The best thing about long skirts is that they cover a lot of leg. You need that when you're me...
ReplyDeleteOoh~ loving the black and pink/nude colors! Those shoes are very interesting, and I adore the earrings.
ReplyDeleteThea, that snap of you is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAnd your Polly - I love love love that bag....
xx
