Sunday Session

On Sundays I pop two favourite songs onto my blog.
An oldie but a goldie.
And a newbie, fresh from the charts, or fresh from the past five years.
But I often break these rules, you can too of course!
Here are my picks for this week.
You can play along by linking up below.
And grab the button on the side bar if you want.
Can't wait to hear your picks.

Happy Sunday!

I'm in the mood for dancing this week.
This one was my party starter song when I was living in Toowoomba for my first year teaching (1990...yep...I'm old!).
I'd put it on and turn it up loud when I was getting ready to hit the nightclub.

And I'd get up and dance to this newby, if I went to a nightclub now, which I won't.
So I'll just get up and dance in my lounge room...want to join me?

Did/do you have a party starter?

  2. I used to love dancing, but if I get too enthusiastic about it now I'm liable to put my back out. LOL.
It's great to know that you're back in a dancing mood though.

  3. I remember this song! Don't think I had a signature song that I would get ready to, but I do remember shaking my tail feather to this song on the dancefloor.

Jury's out on the Gaga, haven't found any of her songs that really make me go "Wow!".

  5. I love both of these songs! Funny, but I think the Gaga song has a really homemade video. I was a bit disappointed in it, because she always does such BIG things.

My old party starters were The Cure's Close to me (when I was 17) and Nirvana's Nevermind, when I was in my early twenties. Nowadays, I would play Lily Allen. But my blog went a bit gospel today due to watching a bit of tele! xx

  7. Ok so that means I'm also old. I remember grooving away to Blackbox too. I think that Lady Gaga's voice is amazing, haven't recently seen a video of her before the whole "Gaga" thing, just not so sure of her music. Still gets the toes tapping though. As long as there's a beat I'm there!
