Do you ever get the feeling that people are talking about you behind your back?
That they're whispering behind hands or sending DMs about you?
I do.
Yeah, I'm paranoid like that.
I often feel people think I'm...
weird
crazy
a little nutty
PSYCHO!
Well, I'm not.
Okay, I do admit I can be a little nutty, possibly even a little crazy, and I definitely can be weird sometimes.
But I am not psycho.
I hope!
So stop thinking I am.
Oh, you weren't?
Sorry, told you, paranoid.
Someone once told me,
"You'd be surprised how many people are not talking about you.
People have better things to do with their time."
And I'm sure that's true.
Still....
Do you ever get the feeling people are talking about you?
Or is it just me?
Am I really PSYCHO????
No your not alone in feeling that, I mean like people are kind & chat to me on twitter but I never get invited to any tweet ups or that & when I've tried to arrange them people say oh sorry can't do it I'm busy etc.

No, you're not alone, Thea. I have a dreadful habit of imagining that people are exchanging looks behind my back - you know how it goes with the shake of the head and the rolled eyes.
ReplyDeleteOne time someone even slipped up and talked about me TO MY FACE! She started going on about 'That Lyn..' and was very embarrassed when I pointed out that I was 'that Lyn'.
Oh, I get this. Sadly, in my case, all those paranoid thoughts were true. I was actually hoping it was me, but then it all came out, it wasn't.
ReplyDeleteNow, of course, I am MORE paranoid. Once bitten, once shy.
Thea, I'd sit rocking in a corner with you anytime!
Hee hee.
ReplyDeleteI hear you all too well!!
Yours in paranoia, Shar.
:-)
No. You are not at all psycho Thea. In fact, I think you're brilliant for even admitting these feelings, as I know I have them, but don't often admit to them... maybe just to hubby, who probably DOES think I'm psycho with my persecution complex ;o)
ReplyDeleteBut I do believe most people have paranoia and insecurity to some degree. I have been told by many older people that these feelings often fade once we're in our 50's or 60's. Great! I've only got another 20 odd years of insecurity to go ;o) xo
Hearing you Thea, hearing you xxx
