Duran Duran

I was going to ask this question on Twitter tonight but I need way more than 140 characters.
So I'm asking you...here...

Should I buy tickets to see Duran Duran?

To explain a little further...

1. I was never a huge Duran Duran fan, I like them, but I was more enamoured with Howard Jones and Nik Kershaw at the time.

2. My husband wasn't a big fan either. I don't know if he could even name one of their songs.

3. I love going to big concerts, I've been to quite a few!

4. My husband has never been to one...not one!

5. When I told him about it he said he wants to go and make it a weekend getaway in Brisbane for us. I was shocked. He constantly surprises me.

6. Tickets are $99.90 or $159.90.

7. They go on sale tomorrow.

Do I buy tickets, or not?
I keep changing my mind every minute.
What do you think??

Then

They were pretty cute!
John Taylor was my favourite (on the right).

Now

Not bad I am not going to say 'for old guys'.
Now he's on the left.

  1. I loved Duran Duran when I was younger so I am a little biased but my hubs took me to see them last time they were here and they were really good! They sounded great and the concert was so much fun! If we weren't saving up for a big holiday I would have been going too!

    I am so jealous!

    Best wishes,
    Natasha.

  3. I can only name two songs of their so I don't think that classifies me as a fan - although Ordinary World will always be a huge favourite of mine.
    Why not go I say.
It's bands like them which have stood the test of time that are probably really good to see live.
I've been surprised to hear how awesome a lot of these 80's bands still are when seen live, just goes to show when you've got it you've really got it.
Make an occasion out of it and go for it. I would if I were invited, even with my limited song knowledge :)

  4. Goodness, they look so strange now in the context of contemporary trends and fashion. I used to be a huge fan, though!
