On Sundays I pop two favourite songs onto my blog.
An oldie but a goldie.
And a newbie, fresh from the charts.
Here are my picks for this week.
You can play along by linking up below.
And grab the button on the side bar if you want.
Can't wait to hear your picks.
Happy Sunday!
My oldie this week brings back many happy memories of college and housemates and Expo88.
The two girls I lived with and I recorded this song at Soundwaves...a real recording studio at Expo88.
It was so much fun, we listened and laughed over and over. It still makes me giggle now...
My newbie is a few months old but it's one of those songs that gets stuck in my head, I love it.
I'm also linking up with Natasha's Sunday Song @ 5 minutes just for me.
Click on her button to visit her beautiful blog.
That reminds me, I gotta do my sunday special! :-)

That really does bring back memories...1988...world expo...That was a great year!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday and best wishes for a fabulous week,
Natasha.
I think your taste in music may be as diverse as mine! Tiffany and B.o.B. in the same post!? Awesome. I actually like the B.o.B. song a lot. Too bad I haven't been dancing in ages!
ReplyDeleteGreat Songs & Great Memories from 1988 & World Expo here in South Bank Brisbane.

Funny, I only have a faint recollection of Tiffany but Robert remembered her music well. He is an inveterate hater of the 80's, go figure?
ReplyDeleteGreat choice and what a diverse mix :)
I missed Yesterday's pretty! So I did it today instead and still linked up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the music :)
I picked some stuff up for an Ebay purchase from a girl in her mid-20's called Tiffany the other week. Her hair and build were the same as this Tiffany's. It made me giggle inside but I didn't mention the similarity!
ReplyDeleteI thought Tiffany was so cool, and now? Nah. Jeans tucked into scrunched down socks with sneakers! *shudder* But at least she wasn't flashing any flesh!
I LOVE the Airplanes song. That girl has an amazing voice! I've linked up! xx
ReplyDeleteOh Expo '88 - that was the first place I ever tasted Greek honey puffs, or Russian food, can you imagine? I loved it. I loved that I got to travel to most of the countries represented there before kids came along, though I never made it to Russia. Still - I've got time...)
ReplyDeleteCalling by from Italy and my own Sunday Song post via Australia (5Mins For Me)to listen to your selections. I have linked you as well if that is ok and will now try and add your badge to my post. I enjoyed your choices, remember the oldie and have heard the recent one on the radio.
ReplyDeleteMy songs are not oldies and new ones so you might think I do not fit the criteria for Sunday Session, let me know!
ReplyDeleteTwo fantabulous choices Thea! I LOVED this Tiffany song back in the day and still like to sing along when I hear it nowadays. Airplanes always makes me feel really good, I associate it with nice things happening in my life, which is often a great influence for me with the songs I like. Thanks for sharing :o)
ReplyDeleteThea@ Thankyou, it will be fun to link up with you, more music for me to listen to on Sunday mornings!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Memories of the Eighties! Love the newer track.
