Sunday Session

On Sundays I pop two favourite songs onto my blog.
An oldie but a goldie.
And a newbie, fresh from the charts.
Here are my picks for this week.
You can play along by linking up below.
And grab the button on the side bar if you want.
Can't wait to hear your picks.

Happy Sunday!

If you're a blogger, you probably know where a lot of other bloggers have been this weekend.
Yep, the #AusBlogCon2011.
I've been typing that hashtag all weekend.
Because of course, I am not there.
But via the power of Twitter I kinda sorta felt like I was, and it was good!
While I was virtually at the dinner dance @SusanneWest tweeted, "Uptown Girl".
So you know what that means...it has to be this week's oldie.
I've always LOVED this song. Unfortunately the embedding code has been disabled so I can't put the original video with Christie Brinkley on...that was such a cute video!
Anyhow...here 'tis...

But wait, there's more...
Then @MeganBlandford tweeted that the first song was Billie Jean...so here it is, too. Two oldies for the price of one!

Thanks ladies for making me feel like I was there!

My newbie is something a little different this week.
I didn't hear it on the radio, I saw it on a TV ad and I cannot get it out of my head.
Is there any song the Glee cast cannot do?
No, I don't think so!

Hello! I'm still here.
I thought I was done and along came a tweet from @JodieAnsted. She says Psuedo Echo's Funky Town....so Psuedo Echo's Funky Town it is!!
I had this album, the big, round, shiny, black disc version!

As always I'll be linking with Natasha at 5 Minutes Just For Me!

  1. I'm not at ABC either. Bummer. Looking for a boot big enough to kick myself with. And I am a bit of a twitter-phobe so didn't know how to do that twitter hash tag thing. Thanks for the songs though! That makes me feel better.

  2. I agree with you Thea, it was very hard looking at all the tweets and pictures of everyone having fun at the conference. Maybe next year...

Thanks for the musical trip down memory lane! Pseudo Echo were brilliant weren't they!

Thanks for having me today and thanks also for joining in with Sunday Song. It is so much fun having another musical buddy to hang out with each Sunday!

  9. We really missed you at Aus Blog Con. Funky Town really went off as did the original Pink version of that song and Katy Perry's Firework. Some ladies went crazy for the Nutbush too, but that's never been a favourite of mine. Maybe next year hey?
