Sunday Session

On Sundays I pop two favourite songs onto my blog.
An oldie but a goldie.
And a newbie, fresh from the charts, or fresh from the past five years.
But I often break these rules, you can too of course!
Here are my picks for this week.
You can play along by linking up below.
And grab the button on the side bar if you want.
Can't wait to hear your picks.

Happy Sunday!

Finally I have a newbie!
I was driving in the car during the week and heard this.
I LOVE it...I was singing along from the first listen.
It's folky, poppy, favourite kind.
And what's really cool is I tweeted how much I loved it and @Wes_Carr tweeted me back!!
Here it is, hope you love it too.

So it sounds a little, OK a lot like this one...

Who cares?
I love them both!

And there you go...two newbies this week...go figure!

  1. I'll be back once the breakfast rush is over to listen to your selections for today, Thea. :-)

  2. Great tunes for a freezing cold Sunday morning and boy do I wish summers would stay at a nice 72F rather than 40C. Thanks Thea.*S*

  3. Sorry for not playing today, had planned to as had songs picked out days ago but then learnt of a death in the family.

Will play next Sunday promise miss playing Sunday Session with you & the others.

(((( Hugs )))) XXXX Kisses XXXX

  4. I'd never heard of Wes Carr before.

Stay the Night is my son's favourite song. In fact, just last night, he and sammy got up on 'stage' to do a performance for us. Fake mics, 'choreographed' dance moves, the works. It was one of those moments, ridicous as it might have been, I will never forget. And every time I ever hear that song, I'll remember that moment, and smile.

  5. When I listened to these two songs yesterday I wasn't in a summery mood and couldn't get into them, but on second listen today, they are both fabulous songs! In the first one, Wes Carr's voice is uncannily like Neil Finn's. Thanks for introducing me to these two songs! xx

Just one little comment will make my day.
