Sunday Session

New rules - there are no rules!
On Sundays I play music on my blog.
Old or new or in between.
Related or not.
But always songs I love!
Here are my picks for this week.
You can play along by linking up below.
Can't wait to hear your picks.

Happy Sunday!

This week's Sunday Session is inspired by a hairstyle.
Yep, you read right...a hairstyle.

I've just been watching 'Ghost'.
I hadn't seen it for so long, I love that movie, don't you?
And it got me thinking about Demi Moore's haircut.

It was awesome at the time, 1990 that is.
And there was also a blonde version.
Chynna Phillips from Wilson Phillips...same year, 1990.

So, inspired by these two very similar haircuts from 1990, I give you this week's Sunday Session...enjoy.
(Oh boy, how I love both of these songs!)

  1. I kept seeing these haircuts on beautiful women and in my mind I would think that I could pull it off. I was mistaken. I'd grow my hair longer and then see one of these beauties, and cut it off, then I'd hate it, and grow it longer again. I wish I'd had a blog back then so that I could write about how much I hated the shorter style and look back in the archives when I contemplated cutting it again.

  2. Oh... I've had a haircut like this before!
I shall now be walking around singing.. "Just hoo-old on for one more da-ay... just hoooold oooon".
    Thanks :P

  3. I have curly hair so I think if I cut it that short it would go 'boofy' as my sister says. I also don't have the time nor the patience to straighten it.

    Love both the songs.

  4. I love the songs and I love the haircut - I have a similar cut at the moment (short at the back, longer on top) except I'm naturally curly so I obviously don't look like Demi nor Chynna - oh well... ;)

  6. I had a haircut like this when I was about 10, and I rocked it then ... it's never suited me since then. I think you have to be very thin and very hot. Like Demi and co.

  8. I just watched Bridesmaids with Hold On at the end. I thought, wow, I've not heard this for years and yet here it is again on the same day :))

Unchained Melody is one of my favourite songs of all time. I watched The Righteous Brothers sing a live version that astounded me.

  9. Nice haircut that you've focused on Thea! I had my hair cut that short when we were in Perth a few months ago. Though hubby would prefer my hair to be longer I did get many compliments :) On to the music...Unchained Melody is a simple yet beautiful song. I heard "Hold On" on the radio a few weeks back, and I found myself singing along. Such beautiful harmonies and great words. See you next month Thea xx Alice
